~~~ What happens on dance nights? ~~~ When you come into the Howick RSA, committee members will greet you at the door where you pay your entry fee and sign in. There are lots of regulars. They and the committee members welcome newcomers and will introduce you to people you can sit with. We hope you soon get to know a few people and feel comfortable. Midway through the evening, there are announcements and a raffle. There is time to talk, make friends, have a drink, watch the scenes or to get up and move to the music. Levels of dance skills vary from complete novice to experienced social dancer. Whatever your skill level is, you are welcome to join in if dancing takes your fancy.
